Guohua, Translation Manager at ExtraTrans, holds a Master’s degree in linguistics and applied linguistics from Anqing Normal University. With his efforts, ExtraTrans has maintained a reputation for high quality translation among its clients ever since its inception. He oversees the translation team and is responsible for ensuring high translation quality and for coordinating with clients. Previously, he worked as lead translator and project coordinator at China Daily’s translation service from 2003 – 2007.
Catherine, who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English literature from the English Department of Beijing International Studies University, serves as Account Manager at ExtraTrans. She has rich experience in managing language services. She works with high efficiency, pays great attention to every detail, and loves learning new things and working with people of different backgrounds. She now takes charge of the language service projects from, among others, Porsche, KEKO, UDG, Chromedia, Proximity, Ogilvy, ETS, AXA, Datang Telecom, Trane Technologies, Lenovo, Alstom, KHS, Caterpillar, State Administration for Market Regulation, National Bureau of Statistics, HP, and Cisco.
Laura, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in English literature from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s School of Foreign Languages, serves as Project Manager at ExtraTrans. She serves as the point of contact with translators, interpreters, and DTP professionals. She is responsible for managing language service tasks, including project management, DTP, and proofreading. She has rich experience in her current capacity and works with efficiency and flexibility. She manages translation memory (TM) and termbase (TB) and drives work procedures.
Xingbo studied English at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Because of his passion for computer, the Internet, IT, and automotive, he has spent more than ten years translating in these areas. He holds a second-class CATTI certificate for written translations from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. His tireless professional pursuit is to use native and idiomatic Chinese to capture precisely the original messages expressed in English. The clients he serves include, among others, Porsche, ADP, NVIDIA, HP, Dell, Oracle, Lenovo, Digital China, Datang Telecom, Datang Mobile, Intel, Microsoft, Ogilvy Public Relations, APCO, and Shunya.
