读不懂的原文，写不好的译文：从《经济学人》中一句话的翻译说起
要真正读懂《经济学人》这类英文原版财经文章，分析字面的意思只是其中的一个方面，同样关键的是对主题内容和相关的经济、政治情况要有足够的了解，否则就只能深陷文字的迷魂阵。其实，翻译工作想做好也未尝不是如此，相关的“语言知识”、“专业知识”和“百科知识”都要过关，任何一个方面有欠缺都会出现这样或者那样的问题。
